Datetime Data on Graphs

Products: Statit e-QC, Statit e-Server, Statit Custom QC

When displaying datetime data on a graph, the tick labels are extremely long. That is, to display the date and time on a graph tick label takes up a lot of room, using 14 or more characters.

Statit's graphics permit you to split this tick label into multiple lines. It does this by utilizing the key "[SPLIT]". When encountered in a string, this key causes the text to be split at that point. This key can easily be put into a datetime variable by using the PRINTFORMAT command, for example:

printformat date low to high = "%11.0j[SPLIT]%8.8j"

This key will also appear in the data window and on reports, so you may want to change the printformat after the graph is done.
